Saree Not Saree: India 2013

It's funny how time and distance change you, the roads you take don't always lead you home.

Farmers Marketing

Today was our day off, which was lovely! We were able to sleep in then explore the city on our own time. Although it was a long day, the time was well spent.

We started at an organic farmers market frequented by upper class Indians. I signed up to volunteer for them, which will be a fun addition to the semester. We got a free lunch with a small donation and the food was flavorful and filling to prepare us for the afternoon.

We then walked to an upperclass mall to shop the fancy modern (western) clothing. I got a few tops and a few necessities (cleaners for my piercing AH!)

The evening was spent updating my computer so hopefully expect iMessages soon! Also, painted my nails..they dont have Essie here (Em and Lis SEND ME SOME) but I am brining the party nail to a new continent GET AT ME!

Starting classes tomorrow, ready to get this semester on the road! And maybe get a bike to help out….IMG_5098

Why is there a spoon? I thought you always ate with your hands after washing carefully? Bon appetite!
