Saree Not Saree: India 2013

It's funny how time and distance change you, the roads you take don't always lead you home.

Cool Kids Sit In The Back Of The Bus

Sung to the tune of Summertime Gals by LFO and you have Keddy’s new anthem. It is fitting for my current life as we successfully navigated the bus system Sunday, and enjoyed it. Whats good public transportation? It was a meagre 110 degrees outside and our jaunt around the city ended in some sweaty white girls ready for ice baths.

We started the morning at Good Seeds Bazaar, Hyderabads farmers market catering to the upper-middle class.  Organic lunch and hand woven sarees made for a lovely morning of perusing the stalls of fresh mangos.

We found solace in the air conditioned oasis of GVK mall and parked ourselves with water bottles in the food court–hydration-nation! A little shopping and a long, sweaty auto ride home it was a successful Sunday manoeuvring through the city.

Wow, after how hot it was for my visit, I can only imagine how 110 must feel!
